What this tour is about: This is a relaxed afternoon or evening at a private estate near Amber Fort to get away from the noise and bustle of city life. You can go on elephant-back safaris through the nearby countryside and enjoy a well-laid out lunch or dinner at the Camp. The bar is open through the day.
The Aravalli hills are the oldest mountain range in India, formed by a Precambrian geological event 4500 million years ago. The elephant safaris are conducted in the Aravalli forests surrounding the camp and follow a route through villages, agricultural fields, hills and old monuments. Birdlife in the thick forests is thriving. Antelopes and jackals are in abundance. Although panthers inhabit the jungles they are not sighted during the day. Occasionally the hyena and the wolf have been sighted by guests.
Tour Details: You will be transported to the estate and can freshen up with cold towels. You can relax with a beer or G&T, watch the elephants coming in and enjoy the beauty of your natural surroundings. The elephant safaris last between 30-45 minutes. Lunch or dinner is laid out, usually with excellent Indian fare. If you have any special dietary requirements, please let us know in advance so that we may accommodate it. We will drop you back at your
hotel at the end of the visit.
